trigeminal neuralgia; It is a severe and sudden onset facial pain. This pain is felt in the face area where the nerve called nervus.trigeminus spreads. It can last from a few seconds to a minute. The pain usually involves the lower part of one half of the face.
It can start spontaneously, or it can occur as a result of stimulation of a trigger point in the face and mouth. This can be brought on by touching the trigger point, ingesting cold or hot liquids, or being exposed to wind. It may also start with talking, chewing, or other facial movements.
Acupuncture treatment can be applied to patients with primary trigeminal neuralgia of unknown cause. At least 10 sessions of acupuncture allow us to make a decision about the outcome of the treatment. Shorter treatments should not judge the success or failure of acupuncture.
In our clinic, we can perform acupuncture treatment with or without needle acupuncture lasers.
